Salter Motorsport takes out Internationals at Palmerston North

The yougn Ryan O'Connor took the Chequered flag last saturday night at Bruce Robertson International Speedway and took out the title for the International meeting with Jonothan Allard and Ricky Logan from the USA joining the field.

After working hard to get the quickest time, Ryan drove the Salter Cartage Kriner powered Maxim to win his first heat and work his way to take a third from the rear in his second race of the night. This put Ryan on top of the points table for the night along with last on the track for the pole shootout.

Sammy Swindell had to return home ot the USA to fulfill commitments there and organise for his return to Chilli Bowl after his returnback to NZ before christmas so the BOSS filled in for "Slammin Sammy" in the Big Game Treestands/Salter Cartage Maxim comign out 13th out of the 16 signed in for the night. The Boss has recently returned to the track after 2 years of supporting the sport and standing aside as a driver fulfilling the role of Team Owner. It is great to see him back in teh car and loving it with his new figure.

Pole Shootout came and ryan would be last up against Ricky Logan from Littel Rock USA. Ricky jumped the start giving the Salter Cartage car choice of grid for the A-MAIN. From the start the young gun powered away from Ricky, With Jamie Mc Donald and Allard running the top he was able to control the pace.

The race went from Green to Chequered in 25 laps with young Ryno taking out 1st and the BOSS coming in a close 12th Smile

It was a great result for the Salter Motorsport Team, we will be back to Western Springs Speedway for the annual Boxing night festivities that take place with the return of Sammy and Kevin Swindell, with Kevin jumping in the seat of the NEWaddition to the Salter Motorsport family...the SPIKE ESSLIGNER MIDGET for the first time
